The Gate to Plate Long Lunch in is an unmatched foodie experience reflecting the true character of this food-producing region.
Two of the Clarence Valley’s most inspiring chefs, Zac Roberts🇦🇺👨🍳 of Karrikin and Charly Prétet🇫🇷👨🍳 of The French Pan Tree, designed a meal to remember using the best produce the Clarence has to offer.
Two hundred lunch guests sat down to a six course degustation menu, with matched wines, featuring produce of the land and the sea with native Australian bush foods.
Earlier in the day, more than 1,000 people visited our Sunday market, featuring food and drink producers from across the Clarence Valley offering everything from freshly cooked breakfast burgers, bacon & egg rolls to espresso coffee and stalls selling fresh fruit and veg, macadamias and local honey, succulents and handmade crafts.
Wine and beer samples were available to taste, purchase and take home, while for the kids, there was free face painting, a jumping castle and live music presented in a mini-festival atmosphere.
We were delighted to partner with and award naming rights to a bank that is both connected to and truly supports local communities. Hence, the “Bendigo Bank 2019 Gate to Plate”.
